"We want to give students, especially young people, who may have not had an opportunity to visit an airport, some perspective and an idea of what an airport is, what the daily operations look like, and why it's important to our community."

The students' enthusiasm and inquisitiveness were palpable as they explored the various aspects of the airport. From examining different aircraft to learning about the essential equipment and operations, the young visitors were captivated by the world of aviation."They love all new adventures, right? There are all open to it, they're at a perfect age and they asked a lot of really good questions. So, they're interested in this," remarked Cathy Uhazie, the Director of the Summer Kids Zone Program.The airport staff, despite their small numbers, went above and beyond to ensure the students had a memorable and enriching experience. They showcased a range of airplanes, fuel trucks, and other equipment, allowing the children to witness the inner workings of the airport firsthand.
