Farm Credit Mid-America and Richland County Fair are joining forces once again to launch the fourth edition of their highly successful "Fight Hunger, Stock the Trailer" campaign. This community-driven initiative aims to rally local residents in supporting their junior fairs and stocking the shelves of nearby food banks across Ohio.

Uniting for a Cause: The Fight Hunger, Stock the Trailer Initiative

The "Fight Hunger, Stock the Trailer" campaign is a collaborative effort between Farm Credit Mid-America and the Richland County Fair, designed to harness the power of community engagement to address food insecurity. This friendly competition, now in its fourth year, encourages junior fairs across Ohio to collect non-perishable food items, which are then donated to local food banks.From August 6th to 12th, 2024, the Richland County Fair will serve as the epicenter of this initiative, inviting community members to bring their non-perishable donations and contribute to the cause. Strategically placed "Stock the Trailer" signage will guide visitors to the designated donation areas within the fairgrounds.

Rewarding Generosity: Prize Incentives for Participating Fairs

The true winners of this initiative, however, are the communities themselves. At the end of the fair, the total weight of all collected donations will be calculated, and the top three fairs that have raised the most food will be awarded cash prizes of ,000, ,500, and ,500, respectively. Additionally, each participating county fair will receive a 0 contribution to support their junior fair activities, such as attending statewide conferences, investing in new technologies, or purchasing additional items for donation.
