Stolen Vehicle Leads to Arrests

On July 4th, law enforcement agencies in Moorpark and Thousand Oaks reported a stolen vehicle that had originated from Los Angeles. This initial discovery set in motion a chain of events that would ultimately lead to the arrest of three suspects, each facing a multitude of charges.The investigation revealed that a 24-year-old woman and a 39-year-old woman were the first to be taken into custody in connection with the stolen vehicle. Both were booked into the Ventura Pre-Trial Detention Facility, where they were later released after appearing in court on July 8th, having been charged with violating vehicle theft penal codes.

A Third Suspect Emerges

The case took an unexpected turn when detectives determined that a third suspect was also involved in the car theft. On July 12th, the 41-year-old man was located and promptly arrested at the 14000 block of Stanford Street in Moorpark.

Uncovering a Trove of Illegal Possessions

The arrest of the third suspect led to further discoveries. During the investigation, the 24-year-old woman and a separate 30-year-old man were found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and were subsequently arrested.The investigation deepened when both the 30-year-old man and the 24-year-old woman were found to be in possession of a firearm within the stolen vehicle. This discovery resulted in additional firearm-related charges being brought against them.
